The USS The Sullivans has a rich history from World War II and there are still members of the Sullivan family here to support this great cause. This piece of history should be honored and taken care of and I’m so happy I was able to be part of the fundraiser back in March 2021.

The USS The Sullivans is an Arleigh Burke-class (Flight I) Aegis guided missile destroyer.

It is the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for the five Sullivan brothers – George, Francis, Joseph, Madison, and Albert Sullivan, aged 20 to 27 – who lost their lives when their ship, USS Juneau, was sunk by a Japanese submarine in November 1942 in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.

The USS The Sullivans is located in the Buffalo & Erie County Military Naval Park in Buffalo, NY.
